February 2011: Supplementary Article 1 was added to the Banking Law regarding the execution of the duties and activities of the Risk Center at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye by the Banks Association of Türkiye.
2012
April 2012: Regulations to which the Risk Center of the Banks Association of Türkiye will be subject were published.
June 2012: First meeting of Risk Center Management was hold.
June 2012:Pursuant to supplementary Article 1 of the Banking Law, it was decided that all kinds of information exchange of the Risk Center would be carried out through Kredi Kayıt Bürosu A.Ş. (KKB).
September 2012: The Risk Center's website (www.riskmerkezi.org) was launched.
2013
January 2013: The "Transfer Protocol" was signed for the transfer of data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye and technical works were initiated.
May 2013: The process of transferring data to the Risk Center of the Banks Association of Türkiye was completed.
June 2013: The Risk Center of the Banks Association of Türkiye became operational. The Risk Center started to provide Risk Center Reports to real and legal persons and to produce statistical reports for the public.
2014
October 2014: Information Security Policy was established and shared with the members.
2015
January 2015: Annual independent audit activities were started for the Risk Center and the members.
June 2015: Individual loan information collected from the members on a monthly basis transformed to daily basis in order to monitor the data in a more up-to-date manner.
2016
July 2016: Pursuant to the Cheque Law No. 5941, information on the prohibition of issuing and opening cheque accounts started to be reported by the National Judicial Network Information System (UYAP) to the Risk Center.
December 2016: Technical and legal arrangements were made regarding the QR code scanning and information sharing system within the framework of the “Communiqué on the Application of QR Codes on Checks”.
2017
October 2017: Systematic arrangements were made for the notification of customers affected by events declared as “force majeure” such as disasters, terrorism, curfews, etc.
2019
March 2019: The Risk Center Report was made available on the e-Government Gateway also.
May 2019: A Good Practice Guide on Risk Center members' controls on information systems and business processes was prepared and shared with the members.
July 2019: Statistical information shared with the public by the Banks Association of Türkiye and the Banks Association of Türkiye Risk Center was gathered under a single platform and this “TBB Data System” platform, which allows dynamic querying, was put into practice.
2020
May 2020: The promissory note information collected from members in 15-day periods started to be collected on a daily basis in order for monitoring the data in a more up-to-date manner.
June 2020: Statistical reports provided to Risk Center members were gathered under a single platform and made available through the Data Query System, which allowed them dynamic querying.
2021
April 2021: The Risk Center switched from monthly notification and sharing of Commercial Loans data to daily notification and sharing.
2022
December 2022: The scope of the Monthly Bulletin and the Negative Qualified Personal Loans Reports, which are presented to the public by the Risk Center, were changed and started to be presented with richer content.
2023
June 2023: Some amendments were made to the Regulation on the Principles and Procedures Regarding the Provision of the Information of the Customers of the Members of Risk Center of the Banks Association of Türkiye to themselves or to other real or legal persons determined by them subject to their consent.
August 2023: Within the scope of the e-Government Risk Report, the section on telephone and internet bill information was reorganized and started to include the names of debtor companies.
2024
January 2024: Enhancements were completed to ensure that “protested promissory notes, promissory notes for which non-payment protests have been withdrawn and paid promissory notes, promissory notes with a notification date older than 10 years” cannot be inquired from the promissory note services.
March 2024: It was announced that 10 years of data accumulation will be ensured and the sharing process will be initiated with the regulation made within the scope of the studies regarding the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) regulations.
October 2024: The TBB Risk Center Report was made available free of charge and the current period report, consisting of more up-to-date data, was made available through all channels.
2025
January 2025: Under the “Fikir Elçileri” Project, the collection of ideas from members was launched and the implementation of approved projects commenced.
June 2025: The Risk Center Monthly Bulletin was redesigned and enhanced with new statistical insights and publication in the new format began.
September 2025: Development to enable the reporting of “checks” within a single lifecycle, of which members previously reported in five separate and independent phases, was completed.
